Cincinnati, Ohio

Wednesday, July 9, 2008 Dear Mrs. Garza,
I am writing to you from the Bengal’s game in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is my birthday. Last night we stayed at Laquinta Suites with my brother John. It was fun because they had room service, a lot of cable channels including Cartoon Network, FX, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Toon Disney. I went to bed at midnight last night. I ate at Big Boy yesterday (their burgers were so good it was like being in heaven) before we went to the hotel. I woke up late today so right after I took a shower I went the game. After the game we are going to a pizza parlor. At the parlor all my friends and I are going to play games and eat pizza. I wish you were here.

Sincerely,
Michael Arthur

San Francisco, California

Dear Mrs. Garza,

Things here in San Francisco are awesome! We got to ride trams in the suburbs near our hotel. We got to go inside of that really big pyramid called the TransAmerica Pyramid and you could see the whole entire city form the top floor. We also got to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge multiple times. The bridge was made in 1937 and is the largest suspension bridge to date!! We even took scuba lessons and saw the San Andreas Fault line from under water!! Some people say that if you look very close, you can see the ground shifting. It’s not true. Oh and we experienced a real earthquake! It was so scary! Well that is pretty much what happened.

See Ya Soon,
David and Aaron

Dear Mrs. Garza,
I'm in Park City, Utah with my family, and the mountains are beautiful. In the condo I'm staying in it has a wonderful view. Although it's cold the view is still worth it. It's like I'm in a bowl of mountains. I love waking up and seeing the fresh snow on the trees. Today the skiing was wonderful unlike a couple of days ago. More snow fell last night which made the snow not near as slushy. Yesterday was the best! I got to visit the Utah Olympic Park and it was amazing! My family and I went on a tour. While on the tour we stopped at the git shop and got t-shirts. It was fun knowing that Olympic champoins had actually been there. Tomorrow we're going back to the Olympic Park so my dad can bobsled. We're all very excited and cant wait. It sounds like so much fun!

Love,
Sydney Foster

Dear Mrs. Garza,

Yesterday we shopped at time square in New York; it was amazing going to Gucci, Channel, Louis Viton, and Prada. We ate at the most wonderful restaurants like Tavern on the Green and Le Cirque. We saw Vincent and Craig at starbucks.
They followed us all the way to time square. STALKERS!! After that we ate at Sardi’s for breakfast, a The Four Seasons for lunch and we ordered room service for dinner, and Shelby and I went to swim in the indoor pool, since it was too cold to swim outside. The hotel is called Beau lech’e. Tomorrow we will go to the statue of liberty.

Sincerely,
Amber & Shelby

Trip To Florida

Dear Mrs. Garza,
I went to a amazing place in the summer when it was last week and it was fun.
In July my family and friends and went to Florida with me. We had to buy
lots of gas and stay in lots of hotels which nice.

When we reached Florida we went to Universal Studio first. We danced with
Shriek and he hugged me. After that, we went to a place where you go inside and you watch a small video about tornados. Then you go to the next room and it looks like your outside of your house and there was a life like tornado going around. I was really scared and cried a little.
One day later we went to Disney World. There was a paraded with most of the Disney characters. I took pictures with Popey the sailor man, Plutoo, Micky, Minne, Dasiy, and Donald Duck. It was an awesome vaction.

Sincerely,
Nafisa

Washington D.C

Dear Miss. Garza

June 6, 2008
How are you doing? We are doing great here at Washington D.C. We are staying in a 5 star luxury hotel. Tomorrow we are going to visit the Washington monument.

June 7, 2008
Today we went to the Washington monument but it just looks like a big needle. After that we went to get Philly cheese steaks and pizza. Then we went to play some video games at the video arcade. Next we went to visit the white house and there were many guards in front of it. After we had the tour in the white house we went to the hotel to get ready to go eat. We had a great time and hope you write back soon.

Greetings! It’s me Annette, and guess what I’m in California! My family came over here to stay with my aunt for a few weeks of vacation, but while I’m here I think I’ll have some fun. Today we are going scuba diving to see the coral reefs. I hope we don’t run into any sharks, or maybe we will see some sting rays! Today we'll also go to a wildlife sanctuary. Tomorrow we are going to go to the aquarium, beach and later we will head to my cousin’s birthday party. Well I hope you come visit me soon!

Sencerly, Annette V

Dear Ms.Garza

I’m at Washington D.C besides the White House. The white house is so big compared to a house. There’s a lot of stuff in Washington D.C and there’s also a lot of people here. The White House it was built between 1792 and 1800 and it looks beautiful how they build it. The White House does not look like a house because the houses are squared and the white house is rectangle and super big. Mrs. Garza did you know that Washington D.C was the capital of the United States and that it was founded in July 16, 1790?

Sincerely,
Jose Pereyra

Dear Ms. Garza,

I landed in Alberqerque, New Mexico one hour ago. Right now I am eating at Lil Aniyas and it is delicious! It tastes different here, but it’s a lot yummier than in Texas! They have a diffrent culture than we do like:

• They all mostly speak Spanish
• They also celebrate Fiesta, when you are in 1st grade everyone brings food from there culture and they eat them.

I bought an antic that is a globe thirty mins. ago. So I can you show that I been to New Mexico! Well I have to go. Time to meet my uncle’s family. Write you tomorrow!

Your Student,

Lakin Wolever

Ps... I got you a little something too!

Dear Ms Garza

WE are in Hollywood, California. It is a fantastic place if you want to spend all your money on expensive stuff. We are staying at a five star Hotel called ‘The Five star Hotel.’ It is a fancy hotel with lots of movie stars that I have never seen before and the only way I know they are movie star is because they all have people following them around caring there luggage. Me and Aaron decided to go to Red Lobster for dinner.(we decided to go here because it’s a good restaurant and what’s bad is that they can get away with charging you more than it really cost because well, Its Hollywood Baby!

Sincerely Scot A. & Aaron B.

Hey Mrs. Garza!
I’m in Napa Valley, California, and this place is awesome!
I went to the wine vineyards and got to look around; I also went to the Culinary Institute of America, and road a train that had a “mystery” on it.
I really enjoyed my time here so I hope that you can enjoy reading what I have to say about everything. The wine vineyards were beautiful, even though I didn’t get to taste the wine the smell was enough. I went to the Beringer vineyards and the place looks like a giant castle! I’m pretty sure it was one though, maybe a fort because I really didn’t get to brush up much on my history when I went there. The Culinary institute was very interesting too; it was on top of a hill and was really big, I think it has dorms in it!
I got to take a cooking class and we made some cake. I can’t really remember the name but it was delicious, I think it was German Chocolate cake or something.
Next is the train; one of the first I’ve ever ridden so that’s pretty cool! The other things are that when we got on they served dinner (delicious!) and we had some dessert. Then one of the workers came running in saying that someone got killed. We went to the “scene” of the crime and tried to figure out who killed who (there were multiple murders). I really shouldn’t tell you this but the killer was the worker that came in saying someone was killed. Then as you can tell, I went back to my apartment and wrote you this letter. I hope I have even more fun tomorrow!
Seeya when I get back!

Dear Mrs. Garza, I am in New York City and I just finished watching the Lion King musical. Yesterday my family and I were in China Town (it is still part of New York City) and in this Chinese restaurant they made these Chinese tamales, plus there was a lot of seafood and other Chinese stuff to eat. Here in the center of New York City there are always cars, bikes, and people walking. Hope you receive my letter,
Your friend Luis Ortiz
